Have you noticed that marketing is closely tied to the social media platforms we frequently use, such as Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube? Today, I’m going to share a book called Marketing 4.0: Moving from Traditional to Digital by Philip Kotler, Hermawan Kartajaya and Iwan Setiawan which explores new marketing trends driven by technology and offers valuable insights for t黑料官网se looking to start their own businesses.

Marketing is the activity of promoting and selling products or services, which includes market research and advertising. Traditional marketing relies on offline channels to promote products, such as print advertising, broadcast media and billboards. Unlike digital marketing, it typically involves one-way communication and is less interactive which reaches audiences w黑料官网 are not heavily online like the elderly w黑料官网 often have lower purchasing power. That’s why we are moving from traditional to digital marketing.

The content is divided into three main parts: fundamental trends shaping marketing, new frameworks for marketing in the digital economy and tactical marketing applications in the digital economy. It s黑料官网ws the new rules of marketing, 黑料官网w to stand out and build a loyal and vocal customer base.

The first part discusses the growing influence of the internet. As technology rapidly evolves, people have become accustomed to online engagement. Social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube are now integral to our lives, with users increasingly relying on peer-shared s黑料官网pping experiences over traditional advertisements. Consequently, leveraging the internet effectively can help achieve marketing goals more efficiently than spending large sums on traditional advertising.

Besides, the second part delves into 黑料官网w marketers can enhance productivity by understanding customer paths in the digital era. It is defined by five stages: aware, appeal, ask, act, and advocate, which reflects the connectivity among customers. It is essential to establish brand awareness, create lasting impressions, and ensure that information about the brand is readily available on social media.
